Amid Mets Offensive Struggles Brandon Nimmo Feels Hes Moving In The Right Direction

Amid Mets’ offensive struggles, Brandon Nimmo feels he's 'moving in the right direction'

Nimmo remains confident in the Mets' offense and his own ability despite struggles

The New York Mets have struggled to score runs this season, ranking near the bottom of the league in several offensive categories.

Brandon Nimmo, one of the Mets' best hitters, has also been struggling at the plate.

However, NImmo remains confident in the team and his own ability.

Nimmo is hitting just .226 this season

He has struck out 49 times in 165 plate appearances.

Despite his struggles, Nimmo believes he is making progress.

Nimmo credits his work with hitting coach Eric Chavez

Chavez is a former All-Star third baseman who joined the Mets' coaching staff this season.

Nimmo says Chavez has helped him simplify his swing.

Nimmo is also encouraged by his recent at-bats

He has hit the ball hard several times in recent games, even if he hasn’t always gotten results.

Nimmo mentioned working with Chavez on his swing mechanics to stay upright and in a more athletic position to hit.

"I feel like I'm moving in the right direction,"

Nimmo said.

"I'm not where I want to be, but I'm not as far off as I was a couple weeks ago."

The Mets are hoping that Nimmo can turn things around and help them get their offense going

The team is currently 19-29, and they need to start winning games soon if they want to contend for a playoff spot.

Nimmo is a key part of the Mets' offense, and if he can start hitting, it will give the team a much-needed boost.

Even though the Mets have only scored 190 runs on the season, Nimmo is confident that the team will turn things around

"We have a lot of talent in this lineup,"

Nimmo said.

"We just need to find a way to put it all together."
