Weather Risk Forces KC Royals to Change Saturday Game Time

Royals-Guardians game moved up to 3:10 p.m. Saturday

Due to the threat of inclement weather moving into the Kansas City area on Saturday, the Royals have moved up their game against the Cleveland Guardians to 3:10 p.m. CT. The game was originally scheduled for 6:10 p.m., but the Royals and Major League Baseball made the decision to move it up in order to avoid the potential for rain later in the evening. "We are making this decision out of an abundance of caution," said Royals assistant general manager J.J. Picollo. "We want to make sure that the fans have the best possible experience, and we don't want the weather to be a factor." The Royals and Guardians are scheduled to play a four-game series this weekend. The series opener is set for Friday night at 7:10 p.m. CT.
